About this tool

JSON to CSV flattens a JSON array into a spreadsheet. Paste JSON or upload a file, and nested objects are unpacked into dotted column names so everything fits in a flat table.

API responses and app exports usually come as JSON, but Shopify and Excel want CSV. This bridges the two, turning an array of objects into rows and columns without hand-editing. Your data is processed in the browser and never uploaded.

How to use it

  1. Add your JSONPaste a JSON array or upload a .json file.
  2. Let it flattenNested objects become dotted column headers like address.city.
  3. Download the CSVGet a flat CSV ready for Shopify, Excel, or Google Sheets.

Frequently asked questions

How are nested objects handled?
They are flattened with dotted keys, so { "address": { "city": "Austin" } } becomes an address.city column. Arrays are joined into a single cell.
What if my objects have different fields?
The tool collects every key it sees and adds a column for each. Rows missing a field get an empty cell in that column.
Does my data leave my browser?
No. Parsing and conversion happen locally. Nothing is uploaded, so your data stays on your device.
