Supports .csv product exports from Shopify

Your data never leaves your browser

About this tool

The Shopify Tag Manager rewrites the tags in a product CSV export in bulk. Add a seasonal tag to every product, strip out tags from a campaign that's over, or rename a tag across the whole catalog — without touching a spreadsheet formula.

It targets the "Tags" column by default, matches tags case-insensitively, dedupes automatically, and preserves every other column and row exactly, so the file stays ready to re-import. Everything runs in your browser, so the file never leaves your device.

How to use it

Frequently asked questions

Which column does it edit?
The "Tags" column by default — the standard tag field in a Shopify product export. You can point it at any other column before running the change.
How are multiple tags entered?
Type them separated by commas, like "sale, summer, clearance". Each is trimmed, and duplicates are ignored so a tag is never added twice.
Is tag matching case-sensitive?
No. Removing or renaming "Sale" also matches "sale" and "SALE", so inconsistent casing across an export is handled cleanly. Tags left in place keep their original casing.
Will it change anything else in my CSV?
No. Only the tags column is rewritten — every other column and row is preserved exactly, so the file stays importable.
Can I check what changed before importing?
Yes. Download the updated file and compare it against your original with the Shopify CSV Diff tool to see every tag that moved.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is read and updated entirely in your browser — nothing is sent to a server.
