About this tool
The Shopify CSV diff tool compares two product exports and shows what changed between them: rows added, rows removed, and fields modified. Upload an old export and a new one, and the differences are laid out side by side.
Before you re-import a large edited catalog, it helps to see exactly what will change. Comparing the two files catches an accidental price wipe or a dropped product before it reaches your live store. Both files are compared in your browser.

Frequently asked questions
- How does it decide if a row changed?
- It matches rows by Handle, then compares the fields. A different price or title on the same handle shows as a modified row; a handle in only one file shows as added or removed.
- Can I compare exports from different dates?
- Yes. That is the common case: export today, compare against last week's file, and see what moved. The tool does not care when each file was made.
- Does it change either file?
- No. It only reads and compares. Both source files stay as they are on your device.
