Orders to QuickBooks & Xero Converter

Turn a Shopify order export into a QuickBooks Online or Xero invoice import. Paste the CSV, pick your app, and every line item becomes an invoice line — all in your browser.

About this tool

Reconciling Shopify sales in accounting software means reshaping the order export into whatever invoice layout your app expects. This converter reads a standard Shopify order CSV and rewrites it as a QuickBooks Online or Xero invoice import — one invoice line per Shopify line item, with order numbers, customers, dates, quantities, and unit prices already mapped.

Shopify only writes order-level fields on the first row of each order, so the tool carries the customer, date, and currency forward across each order's line items automatically. Paste, pick your app, and copy the result. To compare two exports before invoicing, use the Shopify CSV Diff; to normalise date columns first, reach for the Date Format Converter.

Frequently asked questions

Which QuickBooks and Xero formats does this match?
The QuickBooks layout follows the QuickBooks Online invoice import columns (InvoiceNo, Customer, dates, item, quantity, rate, amount). The Xero layout follows the Sales Invoices import template (ContactName, InvoiceNumber, dates, Description, Quantity, UnitAmount, AccountCode, TaxType). One Shopify line item becomes one invoice line.
How are shipping and taxes handled?
Shipping is added as its own invoice line when the order has a shipping charge — toggle it off if your accounting app posts shipping separately. Taxes stay with your accounting app: set the Xero tax type (or QuickBooks tax mapping) so it calculates tax on import rather than double-counting Shopify's totals.
What account code and tax type should I use for Xero?
Default to your sales revenue account (often 200) and a tax type your Xero org recognises, such as "Tax Exempt" or "Tax on Sales". Both are editable above the output. QuickBooks maps the item to a product or service inside its import wizard instead.
Does my order data leave my browser?
No. Conversion runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded. Need this without the CSV round-trip? ShopSheets syncs orders straight into Google Sheets, and you can also spot repeat orders with the Duplicate Order Detector before you invoice.
