About this tool
The CSV pivot table groups rows by any column and aggregates the rest with sum, count, or average. Upload an order export, group by product or by month, and get totals per group without opening a spreadsheet app.
It reads .csv and .xlsx, skips empty and non-numeric cells when summing or averaging, and updates the result as soon as you change the grouping or an aggregation. Everything runs in your browser, so the file never leaves your device.

Frequently asked questions
- Which aggregations are supported?
- Sum, count, and average. Sum and average skip empty and non-numeric cells; count counts every non-empty cell in the group, numeric or not.
- What happens to empty or non-numeric cells?
- They are ignored by sum and average, so a column with text like "n/a" will not break the math. A group with no numeric values at all shows 0 for sum and a blank for average.
- Can I group by more than one column?
- Not yet — the pivot groups by a single column. If your data is spread across several exports, combine it first with the CSV Merger, then pivot the merged file.
- How is this different from the Excel Analyzer?
- The pivot aggregates your data into a summary table. The Excel Analyzer inspects a spreadsheet's structure — formulas, errors, and performance issues — without changing the data.
- Is my data uploaded anywhere?
- No. The file is read and pivoted entirely in your browser — nothing is sent to a server.
