Needs a column of full image URLs (http or https)
Your file never leaves your browser
About this tool
The image URL checker loads every image link in a CSV column straight from your browser and reports which ones are live and which are dead. Upload a product file, pick the image column, and each row comes back flagged ok, broken, or invalid — with the file annotated so you can find and fix the dead links fast.
Broken product photos quietly cost sales: a link that 404s shows as a blank box in your store or gets a product disapproved on Google Shopping. Checking the whole column at once catches every dead link in one pass. The file is read in your browser and never uploaded anywhere.

Frequently asked questions
- How does the checker test each URL?
- It loads every URL as an image directly in your browser. If the image loads, the link is live; if it errors or times out, it's flagged as broken. Nothing is uploaded to a server — the checks run from your own browser.
- Why doesn't it just report the HTTP status code?
- Browsers block scripts from reading the response of a cross-origin request, so a raw status code isn't available for URLs on other domains. Loading the URL as an image sidesteps that: a successful load is the same signal a shopper's browser gets when it renders your product photo.
- A URL works in my browser but shows as broken — why?
- A few causes: the host blocks hotlinking from other pages, the link is slow and hit the timeout, or it points to a non-image file. Open the flagged URL in a new tab to confirm before deleting it.
- Can it check images inside a Shopify product export?
- Yes. Export your products to CSV, then check the
Image Srccolumn here. To split a multi-image cell first, use the column extractor.
